About Us
Robert Byrne, MSC, CIOB,
Dandelion is a family run business owned by Robert Byrne. Robert and his family are based in East Galway. Originally from Skerries, North County Dublin, Robert has been involved in the cleaning and construction sector for over 30 years.
Robert always had the ambition of working for himself and running his own business. After channelling his extensive construction experience and skill set into building his own family home, Robert realised this was the time to pursue setting up his own business. And so Dandelion was established in 2019.
The Early Years
Robert began working alongside his father Martin in his cleaning business from a young age. Over the years Robert gained extensive experience in the cleaning industry, cleaning facilities ranging from supermarkets, racecourses, churches, pubs and many residential houses across a wide range of activities.
Education and Experience
After qualifying in Building Surveying at third level, Robert continued his education and holds a Masters in Construction Project Management. Robert has project managed numerous construction projects over the years from small works right up to multi million euro projects in the boom however to get hands on and back to the fresh air was always a goal.
Ethos
Every job is treated as though Robert is working at his own home, therefore attention to detail is critical and a satisfied customer is the most important result.
Community
Robert is actively involved in supporting projects in the local community, including the completion of a major astroturf install for the local national school. A video of this superb facility is available below.
From a voluntary perspective Robert is a coach in local soccer and hockey clubs. Robert is also an avid fishing enthusiast and at one stage lent his project management skills in the conservation of wild trout and salmon stocks on Lough Corrib.
